I know, I know!!! Some of you were wondering if I still knew how to draw! o.O As you will learn, if you haven't already figured it out, I can get a little obsessive some times!
Sooooo... I finally drew another portrait... I hope you like it. Details: Size 9x12 in, roughly. Paper: Strathmore 400 series Drawing Graphite Pencils: 4B, 2B, HB, 2H Blending: stumps, tissue, Q-tips Time: About 5 hours Ref pic: [link] WIP: [link] EDIT: The greenish hue from the scanner was driving me crazy so I converted it to b&w - it looks more like the original drawing now! EDIT again: It was still bugging me because the paper looked grey, but it's white...sooo I figured out how to adjust it so it looks almost exactly like the original drawing right now. Finally. |

The harder I try to hold fast, the more these grains of sand flow through my fingers. I let go. I let it all go.
Yay! Thank you so much for getting it right! I've been staring at it for so long that I don't think it looks anything like her... but it's nice to know you could see it!

But when I first looked at it I thought it was a photo, and I had to look at it a second time before realizing it was a drawing ...
