REFERENCE PICTURES

I want you to have the best drawing possible, so I am very picky about ref pics. They need to be very clear and detailed of the face, with good lighting, and high resolution. I am working on getting more specific guidelines for you. Right now I simply know it when I see it, so be prepared to go back and forth a bit on reference picks - that's quite normal.

COMMISSION PROCESS

The process for a commission is simply this:

1. We decide on a suitable ref pic, size, composition, style (detailed/photorealistic or less detailed/artistic) and settle on pricing and estimated timeframe. This may include a compositional sketch, especially if I am combining more than one photo or adding artistic elements (e.g. flowers, butterflies, or any other elements NOT in the reference photos...note: these elements may result in additional charges)
2. You pay half up front and secure your place in the "queue" and your portrait viewing window. (This is the timeframe in which you will be able to view your portrait on-line.)
3. I finish the portrait and allow you to see a watermarked version on-line for approval. At this point you can request any necessary tweaks.
4. Upon approval you send final payment and I ship the portrait to you.
